Polofields Crossing Book Fair Writing Challenge

From 24 to 26 September 2021, the Spring Edition of the Polofields Crossing Book Fair will once again be a popular browsing destination for book lovers from across Gauteng – ready to fill their bookshelves, whilst supporting a great cause at the same time. The biannual fair will again aim to raise much-needed funds to cater for the palliative care services provided by HospiceWits.

In celebration of the Spring Book Fair, and the incredible work done by the HospiceWits health care workers, we are proud to announce the first Polofields Crossing Book Fair Writing Challenge in association with the SA Writers College.

How to enter?

The HospiceWits charity shops situated in and around Johannesburg are known for selling a variety of pre-loved goods. If the gems found in these shops could talk, they would surely have a lot of magical tales to tell.

Who drank from the mysterious cup? What drove the couple apart, or what precious secrets did the little box once protect? We hope that one of the items we found in the HospiceWits charity shops will unlock the inspiration for your story.
